As a blogger I am in constant need of wardrobe changes. I found myself spending a ridiculous amount of money every month buying new clothes online. Shipping is free both ways, and they include a return shipping label in their adorable packaging that gets delivered right to your door.
If you really love a piece and you can’t live without I,t you are able to purchase that item at well below retail. I am going on my fourth month of Nuuly and I’ve purchased three items. These were staple, basic pieces that I may have not even tried on in a store or ordered online because of the retail price alone. Thy were high quality and design, and at 30-50 percent off retail, they were definitely a good investment. They make it simple to purchase clothes online, too. You just log in, go to your “My Nuuly” and hit “purchase”. They will charge the purchase to the card that you have on file for your monthly subscription.
Once your month is up, you just put the unwashed clothes back in the bag, zip it up and put the return label in the see-through panel on the top of the bag. It literally takes seconds. Then, drop it at your nearest UPS store or have it picked up. Once Nuuly receives your bag, “My Nuuly” opens up and you can add your six items. I’ve gotten my new items within 48 hours (they have two-day shipping on business days of the week) after I’ve picked out my new pieces. Then the process starts all over again.
One last advantage to this service is that it cuts back on your carbon footprint. According to Business Insider, fashion production makes up for 10 percent of humanity’s carbon emissions. They go on to state that emissions from fashion production is more carbon than from international flights and maritime shipping combined. Fast and cheap fashion are taking a toll on the environment. By opting to use an online clothing rental service, you can cut back on the damage being done to our planet.
