10x Growth Conference 2020 Review | Advice for Entrepreneurs

Rob and I just attended our very first 10X Growth Conference. It was three days long and was held in Las Vegas. The weekend was filled with surprise celebrities, motivational speakers and business leaders from their respective fields. We heard from speakers like Magic Johnson, Scooter Braun, Snoop Dogg, John Travolta, Marie Forleo (my favorite) and many others.

Grant Cardone, 10X founder, has started a movement with his teachings. He wrote the New York Times best seller “The 10X Rule” hence the name of the conference. recommend you get your hands on one of these great Grant Cardone books. Forbes calls the 10X GrowthCon the “best conference in the world for sales and marketing”. It’s no wonder that it attracts lots of entrepreneurs and people who have gone all-in on the 10X lifestyle.

Grant Cardone is a former drug addict who got his start in automobile sales. He came from humble beginnings, and now Grant Cardone’s net worth is around $300 million. Grant makes no apologies for his direct and sometimes in-your-face attitude toward making money and helping others do the same. He is a man who loves his private jet, his expensive watches and providing his family with the best of the best.

He is also a man who wants to share how he did it. He sells his sales training plans, he runs one of the largest private real estate equity funds (that he allows accredited and non-accredited individuals to invest in), as well as services for scaling your business and advertising services.

Takeaways from 10X GrowthCon 2020

1. Everyone needs help. Each one of the speakers at the 10X Growth Conference talked about the importance of surrounding yourself with people who offer support and help you. No one knows everything. Find the experts in your field and hire them to help you, which brings me to my next point…
2. Stop being afraid of spending money to invest in your business. Searching for a sales training course, a coach or a new program to learn how to start a business can change the game for you. Stop worrying about spending five grand and start thinking about how it can make you millions.
3. “Money doesn’t buy happiness” but it does buy security. No one is “happy” when their water gets turned off or they have no heat in January. Knowing you can pay your bills every month and can weather an injury or a short-term job loss makes everyone feel secure — which in turn provides happiness (at least in my book). Don’t be ashamed or afraid of wanting more money or becoming wealthy by falling back on the old adage that it doesn’t buy happiness.
4. Every single successful person who spoke on stage has money invested in real estate. As it did for Grant Cardone, real estate offers incredible investment opportunities.
5. Protect your circle. Don’t let people in your life that aren’t there for the right reasons. Negative people are a drain on you; get rid of them. Don’t let others’ opinions of what you’re doing influence you. It’s your dream, your passion. Their opinion of it doesn’t matter; keep chasing your dreams.
6. Every person has a gift. That “thing” that makes them unique. Focus on it and then monetize it.
7. Stop being content with “average” or “normal”.
8. You absolutely must be willing to work hard — really hard. Sacrifices will have to be made. Instead of going out on a Friday night, you might have to work or save that money to invest in training. Saying you want to be rich and successful is a start, but you need to work your ass off and make sacrifices to get there.
9. Self-promotion is a must in 2020. Even if you don’t like self-promotion or think it shows vanity, you have to do it. It doesn’t matter and no one cares that you don’t “like it”. It is essential.
10. You never fail unless you quit.

There were so many takeaways and “aha” moments. If you want to “10X” your business, your finances, your relationships and your life, you should attend the 10X Growth Conference. If you want to be around people who have the same mindset as you and want more out of life, 10X GrowthCon is for you.
